Taking The SmartMan© Test

When you go into complete a test, SmartMan© will measure your performance on 5 sets of 30 compressions as recommended in the current guidelines or in continuous compressions (1 set of 200 compressions) as is being practiced by some groups.

Test Menu

Select the Test for either 30 compression or 200 compressions.

Prepare the Manikin

Press the Space Bar. The software and the manikin are now ready. It will wait until you first press on the chest before it begins to measure your performance. You are now in a test situation.

Perform Compressions

Perform your compressions as if this were a real victim. Concentrate on getting the depth and the rate correct. Make sure you allow the chest to fully recoil between compressions.

If you feel you have done a couple of compressions badly, DO NOT STOP. Adjust what you are doing and continue until you have competed 5 sets of 30 compressions.

Between each set of 30 compressions count 4 seconds as if a second rescuer were providing the breaths.
